Who We Are
Downstream Valley is an informal ecosystem born from a vision: to connect Campania's industrial, scientific and entrepreneurial excellence within a shared strategic trajectory, creating a new international hub for downstream Earth Observation services.
Promoted from an idea by Gaetano Volpe (CEO & Founder of Latitudo 40 and Board of Directors member of SAM - Società Aerospaziale Mediterranea), the initiative is grounded in the belief that the region holds an extraordinary concentration of expertise in remote sensing, artificial intelligence, geospatial analytics, space economy and deep-tech innovation — capabilities that are often still fragmented.
Downstream Valley aims to transform this heritage into a collaborative ecosystem built on cooperation, technological synergies and a common vision, where companies, talent, universities, research centers and innovators can work together to scale local capabilities to the international level.
It is not simply a network.
